115° Heat Index
Gulf South summers push surface temperatures on a dark roof far past the air temperature. Heat is what drives oil out of asphalt — and Baton Rouge has six months of it.
Sixty-two inches of rain a year and a 115° heat index cook the oils out of Louisiana shingles. ReBoot My Roof puts them back — in about three hours, for a fraction of what a Baton Rouge replacement costs.

Why Louisiana Roofs Fail Early
An asphalt shingle is not a solid piece of material. It's a fiberglass mat saturated with asphalt oils, with ceramic granules pressed into the surface. Those oils are what make the shingle flexible, waterproof, and able to hold onto its granules. From the day it's installed, the roof starts losing them.
A Louisiana roof doesn't wear out the way a northern roof does. It cooks. Sixty-two inches of rain a year soaks the shingle. Then a 115-degree heat index bakes it dry. Every wet-then-hot cycle pulls a little more oil out of the asphalt — and around here that cycle runs from April clean through October. Do that a few thousand times and the shingle stops being flexible and starts being brittle. Granules let go. Edges curl. The roof looks tired, and it is tired — but it is not necessarily finished.
A roof is like skin. Dry it out and it cracks. Put the oil back and it flexes again.

Among the wettest metros in the country. Shingles stay damp, then bake dry, then soak again. That expansion-and-contraction cycle is what breaks down granule adhesion.
Brittle shingles don't survive wind the way flexible ones do. A roof that's lost its oils is a roof with less margin the next time a named storm comes up the river.
The Third Option
Most products sold for an aging roof sit on top of it. A coating is a film — it covers the shingle, adds weight, changes how it sheds water, and eventually it fails and peels.
GreenSoy™ does the opposite. It's a bio-based, soy-derived oil that penetrates the asphalt matrix and replaces what six Louisiana summers took out. The shingle regains flexibility from the inside. Granules re-adhere. The roof goes back to behaving like a roof — not like a roof wearing a raincoat.
It's sprayed on. It soaks in. There's nothing left sitting on the surface.
Soaks into the asphalt matrix and restores flexibility from within. No film, no added weight, nothing to peel off in three years.
Granules are the shingle's armor and its sunscreen. Restoring oil helps the shingle grip them instead of shedding them into your gutters.
Ceramic granules are what reflect Louisiana sun. Helping an aging shingle hold onto them keeps the roof working the way it was built to.
USDA Certified Bio-Based. Nothing torn off, nothing hauled away. About 11 million tons of shingle waste hit US landfills every year — none of it from this.
Not every roof qualifies. Rejuvenation works on asphalt shingle roofs that are still structurally sound — typically 6 to 20 years old, with the shingle body intact. If your roof has active leaks, widespread missing shingles, deck rot, or damage beyond what rejuvenation can address, Dale will tell you that at the free inspection and you'll owe nothing. We'd rather lose the job than take it on a roof that needs replacing.

Every ReBoot My Roof treatment carries a 6-year transferable warranty on treatment performance, handed to you in writing the day the work is done.
Transferable matters more than most homeowners realize. If you sell the house inside those six years, the warranty goes to the buyer. You're not just maintaining a roof — you're handing the next owner documentation that it was cared for, which is exactly the kind of thing that makes an inspection report read better.
Louisiana Homeowners
Louisiana homeowners have watched their premiums move in one direction for a decade, and insurers have gotten sharper about roof age. In this state, the condition and documented upkeep of your roof is not a small line item — it's often the line item.
Every ReBoot My Roof job produces a full documentation package: dated before-and-after photography, a written condition report, treatment records, and your warranty certificate. That's a paper trail showing the roof was professionally maintained, not just left to weather.
Every carrier and policy is different. We can't tell you how your insurer will treat this — talk to them directly. What we can do is give you complete documentation to bring to that conversation.
The Process
Pick a time on Dale's calendar. Takes about a minute. No deposit, no obligation, no salesman sitting in your kitchen.
Dale inspects the roof himself — shingle condition, granule retention, flashing, age, penetrations. He's looking for one thing: whether rejuvenation is actually the right call for your roof.
You get photos of your own roof and a plain-English report. If it qualifies, you get a fixed quote. If it doesn't, he tells you that and you owe nothing.
GreenSoy™ is sprayed across the full roof surface. Two to three hours for most Baton Rouge–area homes. No tear-off, no dumpster, no crew in your house.
Before-and-after photos, written completion report, and your 6-year transferable warranty certificate — delivered before we leave.

Replacement figures reflect published Baton Rouge–area market ranges for architectural asphalt shingle and will vary by roof size, pitch, complexity and material. Rejuvenation pricing is quoted per roof after inspection. Rejuvenation is only appropriate for asphalt shingle roofs that qualify — a roof past the point of restoration needs replacing, and Dale will tell you so.
Straight Answers
It's an oil replenishment treatment for asphalt shingles — not a replacement, not a coating, not a cleaning. A bio-based oil is sprayed onto the roof and penetrates the shingle, restoring the flexibility, granule adhesion and UV protection that heat and weather have stripped out over the years.
Dale comes out and looks at it — free, and with no obligation. He evaluates shingle condition, granule retention, age, flashing and overall structural soundness. Most asphalt roofs between 6 and 20 years old are candidates. If yours isn't, he'll tell you straight and you won't owe anything.
GreenSoy™ is a soy-derived, bio-based rejuvenation product, USDA Certified Bio-Based. Instead of sitting on top of the shingle like a coating, it penetrates the asphalt and replaces the oils that have been lost to heat and UV exposure.
Most homes in the Baton Rouge area are done in two to three hours. There's no tear-off, no heavy equipment and no dumpster. Most homeowners stay home while we work.
A 6-year transferable warranty on treatment performance, provided in writing the day the job is completed. If you sell the house within those six years, it transfers to the new owner.
Yes — and Louisiana is exactly the climate that creates the need for it. Treatment is applied during appropriate weather windows: a dry roof surface and no rain in the cure window. Gulf South warmth actually helps the oil penetrate the asphalt. We schedule around the afternoon thunderstorm pattern, which is why booking a couple of days out beats trying to squeeze it in same-day.
Every carrier and policy is different, so talk to your insurer directly. What we provide is a complete documentation package — dated before-and-after photos, a written condition report and your warranty certificate — so you have real evidence of professional maintenance to bring to that conversation.
A full asphalt shingle replacement in the Baton Rouge area typically runs $10,000 to $20,000, with $12,000–$17,500 being common for a 2,000 sq ft home. Rejuvenation is a fraction of that. Pricing depends on your roof, so the free inspection includes a fixed written quote with no obligation.
Yes. GreenSoy™ is plant-derived and bio-based. We protect landscaping, driveways, gutters and AC units before we spray, and we clean the site before we leave. Pets and family are fine to be home.
You get a written completion report, a full set of before-and-after photographs, and your 6-year transferable warranty certificate — all before the crew leaves your driveway.
